Statistics confirmed that Ukraine reaped a record grain harvest last year

The Ukrainian Statistics Authority officially confirmed that Ukraine had achieved a record harvest of agricultural grains in the past 2019.

In a press statement published yesterday, Monday, February 3, the authority stated that the total harvest amounted to about 75.08 million tons of grains last year, which exceeds the data of 2018 before last by about 4 thousand tons.

It stated that the wheat crop reached 28.3 million tons (an increase of 15% compared to the year before), the corn yield 35.8 million tons (0.1%), and the barley crop 8.9 million tons (21.2%).

It is expected that approximately 54 million tons of grains will be exported to foreign markets.
