UAE the largest importer of flour from Ukraine

Kiev / Ukraine in Arabic / The United Arab Emirates ranked first in the list of the largest importers of flour from Ukraine during the first half of the current commercial year (marketing season), according to what was announced by the analyst of the Ukrainian company "IBK Info".

The analyst revealed in a press statement launched today, January 16th of this month, that the total UAE revenue from flour reached 52.7 thousand tons in the mentioned period, adding that it exceeds that of the full two years in 2018 and 2017 (48 thousand tons and 46 thousand tons, respectively).

He stated that Ukraine exported approximately 85.9 thousand tons of flour to the countries of the Middle East in the mentioned period, the majority of which are for the UAE (61%), followed by Palestine in second place (17.2 thousand tons - 20%).

As for the total Ukrainian exports of flour to various countries of the world, the share of the UAE was 28%.

With regard to the Ukrainian-Emirati relations, Ukrainian Airlines diverted their routes to the United Arab Emirates in the aftermath of the Ukrainian plane crash near Tehran, following the Aviation Safety Resolution No. 2020-01 issued by the Ukrainian State Aviation Service.
